Hello NOMAD Aquatics & Fitness:

As you are aware, the highly anticipated Phase 2 has now begun for our state.  While this Phase isn’t exactly what we expected, we have adapted and will continue to modify our plans as we move through this together.

Under the current parameters of this part of Phase 2 we are permitted to open our Pools/Aquatics Areas.  While we are not yet permitted to open our indoor fitness areas, run indoor fitness classes, or land-based Silver Sneakers, opening the pools will provide at least some respite from the ups and downs these times have brought us.

At this time the facility will be open to active members, swim team and lessons participants, and registered Silver Sneakers. Guests and Punch Card visitors may activate a membership online or at the front desk.  Previously purchased punch card expiration dates will be extended when access is approved.

This is our “working plan” but it will be updated weekly as required based on usage and interest.

Saturday                        11:00 am-2:00 pm

Sunday                           12:00 pm-4:00 pm

Based on the feedback from our recent Silver Sneakers survey we will not resume Water Aerobics classes until mid-June and will send out a communication closer to that time.

Standard Procedures in Place

Complete “Back to Fitness” COVID-19 Waiver form on your Mind Body NOMAD Fitness app or at check-in.

Review of all NCHHS Guidelines (Click HERE)

Restricted lobby access so that there is only one (1) person in the lobby at a time.

Sanitize hands at check-in with wipes/sanitizer provided.

Check Temperature and Symptom Evaluation upon arrival.

Show ID at window (closed) for manual check-in or use app/key/fob touchless check-in

Follow Spacing Guidelines marked on the floor at all times

Place Personal belongings on the benches around the pool in the spaces marked

Come dressed to swim/exercise, changing in the locker rooms will not be permitted.

Limit locker room use for bathrooms only (no changing, showering, extended use).

Bring your own water bottle, limit use of water fountains.

Masks are required in lobby and on pool deck.

Family units, share lanes when possible

Week of May 25th – continue with current schedule for Senior Performance, Senior Development, Pre-Senior Performance, Pre-Senior Development, MS/HS Prep, Age Group Performance & Age Group Development.

Week of June 1st – Change to “Summer Schedule” CLICK HERE and Stroke Performance, Stroke Development, and Stroke Intro groups may start attending.

Swim Lessons

We will begin a gradual entry back to Private Lessons during the week of May 25th. The Swim Academy administrators will begin reaching out to families in the next few days and will provide information on scheduling, make-ups, and policy changes.  A return to Group Lessons is planned for some time in June.  When available, information will be posted HERE.
